Actor Henry Golding in talks to play Snake Eyes in GI Joe movie spinoff

The titular character, based on the line of Hasbro toys, is a silent ninja commando who dresses in all black and doesn't show his face.

Henry Golding of Crazy Rich Asians fame is currently in early talks to star in a spinoff of GI Joe called Snake Eyes. This is according to sources who spoke to Variety.

The titular character, based on the pop Hasbro line of toys, is a ninja commando who dresses in all blackness, has a pet wolf called Timber and doesn't speak or bear witness his confront, which is a waste of such a good-looking face, if you lot ask us.

The picture by Paramount, Skydance and Allsparks will be directed by Divergent'south Robert Schwentke and produced by Brian Goldner, with a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos, who wrote Beauty And The Beast and The Huntsman: Winter's War.

This will be the third GI Joe moving picture after 2009'south GI Joe: The Rise Of Cobra and 2013's GI Joe: Retaliation. Actor Ray Park played Snake Eyes in both films.

Golding has been signed to several high-contour projects since appearing in the hit rom-com last year. He starred opposite Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the Paul Feig-directed, A Unproblematic Favor.

He'll next appear in some other Feig flick, starring opposite Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke in the romantic one-act Last Christmas in Nov. Later on that, he'll be in Guy Ritchie's crime comedy, The Gentleman, prepare for release in Jan 2020.

The thespian of English language and Iban descent is also working on projects through his ain visitor, Long House Productions.
